  • For three days the Trade Show connected knowledge and confirmed Inexmoda’s interest in continuing to strengthen the sector in production, design, and knowledge issues.

January 2019. Each edition of the Inexmoda trade shows–in this case Colombiatex de las América–is full of innovations, and the 31st edition was no exception, since new proposals such as Origin Colombia, Private Sale, and Mercado Gráfico in its second edition were presented. Knowledge was updated in regards to Orange Economy and 4.0 Industry at the Inexmoda-UPB Knowledge Pavilion.

Several entrepreneurs highlighted the innovations and gave their opinions of them. Regarding Origin Colombia, this distinction granted by Inexmoda to organizations whose production is carried out in our country, allowed buyers to identify these companies to facilitate their international negotiations.

“Three years ago we changed our business model and began to produce in Colombia, so the seal on the stand was very important; many customers visited us because of this, since many of them export and need the Origin Seal for issues of tariff payment,” assured Mauricio Vargas, of the Gintex exhibitor company of the Trade Show.

For its part, Private Sale had its first display at Colombiatex de las Américas, a space dedicated to final consumers who value Colombian talent. The selected designers who presented their products were twelve in number.

“At this time it is very important to support Colombian industry, both the finished product and raw materials, so I think it is very interesting that Inexmoda has exalted national industry in this space,” said Manuela Bedoya, fashion designer who visited the space.

Attendees also enjoyed Mercado Gráfico, a place that highlighted Colombian graphic and visual designers, showing their latest creations in textile illustration. “The experience in the space has been very fruitful; we have managed to make many contacts and are very grateful for the support of companies such as Inexmoda, Artextil and Estudio Agite because through Graphic Market we have positioned our brand, an enterprise, in this type of scenario,” shared Javier Sodi and Kevin Romero, participants of Mercado Gráfico.

Graphic School was also within the venue, an academic space in which 16 talks were held on topics related to printing and illustration where students, designers, and the general public participated.

“We as a company have a purpose and that is to transform the clothing and fashion industry. Committed to the above, we believe that we must begin to engage all people that make up this sector, therefore we decided to unite with Inexmoda and Estudio Agite in supporting young talent and updating it in knowledge,” said Ana Marcela Garcia, Brand Manager at Artextil.

And finally, the Inexmoda-UPB Knowledge Pavilion with 4.0 Industries and Orange Economy. Margarita Baena, lecturer of that space, presented her conference “4.0 Industries for Dummies”. For her, one of the challenges is to engage in 4.0 Industry not as a productive system but for development of designs, quality of life, products, and services. This will build mechanisms for making logical, coherent, rapid, sensible, and successful adoption processes, since it has been demonstrated that the consumer’s capacity to adapt advances more slowly than technological development.

The spaces of Colombiatex de las Américas 2019 invited their attendees to Connect Knowledge and strengthen the Fashion System. Following the three pillars of this Colombian Institute: to know, connect, and transform, this Trade Show confirms Inexmoda’s interest in continuing to strengthen its players through innovation and knowledge.
