January 2021. Inexmoda welcomes Colombiatex 2021 Digitally, the first step in its economic reactivation plan for the Fashion System, which will take place from Monday, January 18th to Friday, February 5th on www.colombiatex.com. The trade show, which represents the largest event in Latin America for the Textile-Clothing Production sector in terms of supplies, textiles and machinery, will be held digitally and it will have the participation of 20 countries highlighting innovations in sustainability and biosecurity.
“Our objective from Inexmoda for 2021 is very clear: as an institute we are responsible for contributing to the economic reactivation of the country. We will do this through a structured plan that includes initiatives to promote tourism, guide and support entrepreneurship, strengthen business relationships, and of course, generate events and business platforms that stimulate the economy, such as Colombiatex 2021 Digitally. We aim to generate business, but also to strengthen the knowledge of entrepreneurs about the digital world, “said Carlos Eduardo Botero Hoyos, Executive President of Inexmoda.
The institute highlighted the importance of carrying out the Trade Show as a way of motivating businesses and the economy. According to the Inexmoda-Raddar Fashion Observatory, since May the fashion consumption figures indicate a rapid recovery of the Fashion System in the expenditure of Colombians. Additionally, initiatives such as Black Friday, the no Sales Tax Day and the advance payment of all end of year bonuses, also contributed to the Fashion System having a positive end of the year in sales. This is how Colombiatex 2021 Digitally becomes a scenario that continues to promote economic recovery, where fashion brands will be able to stock up, do business and prepare their collections for the first half of the year, where mothers and fathers’ seasons stand out.
Businesses in the digital world
Colombiatex 2021 Digitally will have a Virtual Business Platform on www.colombiatex.com, where exhibitors and buyers will have the opportunity to meet for virtual business meetings and commercial presentations. There will be about 240 exhibitors participating from countries such as Colombia, Italy, India, Brazil and Spain, who will have the opportunity to expose their new developments and innovations, in categories such as, textiles, supplies, fibers and yarns, chemicals, machinery and full package.
During the event, 2,000 buyers from around the world will be able to navigate the Virtual Business Platform, visit the profile of each exhibitor to initiate commercial relationships and, if required, they can also request product samples from exhibitors, which will be sent through DHL, the official Courier of the event. This edition of Colombiatex 2021 will feature 65 different groups of national buyers from regions within Colombia, such as Antioquia, Cundinamarca, Risaralda, Valle del Cauca and Santander.
At the international level, 13 international groups of buyers will connect with the event from countries such as Ecuador, the United States, Mexico and Peru. This process of inviting international buyers has the support of ProColombia, which has managed to mobilize 190 companies from 20 countries to attend the trade show.
“This is a very special edition of Colombiatex, as it will be the first time to take place completely digitally. The dynamics of any trade show in this format are completely different from that of a physical event: exhibitors and buyers require our in-depth assistance and data analysis becomes essential. We have high expectations to generate businesses through the business appointments and interactions that are made on the Virtual Platform. We want to see negotiations between exhibitors and buyers that can include the exchange of samples and commercial conditions”, said Leonor Hoyos, Director of Trade Shows at Inexmoda.
Sustainability and biosecurity: the new commandments
In a world questioned by the impact that humanity generates on the environment, and the health of the species that is currently exposed to a pandemic, Sustainability and Biosecurity become the new commandments of society and especially of business relationships. They are definitely terms that are not seasonal, but rather they are here to define the way society acts.
This is why Colombiatex 2021 Digitally, will highlight business developments and innovations that are implemented in companies participating in the Sustainability and Biosafety Path. This path, which can be experienced for free on www.colombiatex.com, is a directory of brands that are committed to reducing their impact on the environment and developing products that protect people’s lives. Visitors will find all brands grouped according to their focus of action: use of recycled yarns, water reuse, eco-friendly printing, recycling of plastic and antiviral textiles.
Fashion and innovations are born in textiles and supplies
Although fashion is clearly experienced in fashion weeks such as Colombiamoda, trends are really born in textiles and supplies that are presented at trade shows such as Colombiatex Digitally. That is why, on the Virtual Business Platform, buyers and exhibitors will be able to enjoy the Textile Forum, an online area where trends for the Spring-Summer 2021 season will be announced. It will begin at the end of January and will end in July of the same year, through conferences and photographs of products associated with the season.
In addition, the Trends and Innovations section will be the showcase where new developments and technologies for the industry will be presented through videos, articles and a wide program of live interviews that will be broadcasted on Inexmoda’s social media platforms. This will disclose the behind the scene industry cameras and cutting-edge releases.
Knowledge without borders: The Knowledge Pavilion, Masterclasses, Workshops and Online Consulting
