- The Business Roundtable of 4.0 Industries, a commercial meeting organized by ProColombia and the Ministry of ICT, reaffirms one of the most important trends in the sector: the appropriation of technology.

July 2018 Reaffirming the highest purpose of Inexmoda–to link knowledge for empowering the Fashion System, within the framework of the 29th edition of Colombiamoda, Colombia’s Fashion Week®, there are two places that serve strategically for entrepreneurs participating in this edition of the Trade Show to connect with the work that Inexmoda has done during the last years to impact the industry. In addition, they were created for getting acquainted with and gaining first-hand access to technological trends, and they are the Transformation Route and the Business Roundtable of 4.0 Industries.
Through the Transformation Route, active during the three days of Colombiamoda 2018, the goal is to demonstrate by virtual reality experience and the presence of different organizations transformed by Inexmoda, how the Colombian Institute has renewed companies and people during the last years. Meanwhile, the Business Roundtable of 4.0 Industries, which this year celebrates its second edition thanks to ProColombia and the Ministry of ICT, is a business meeting in which companies of the Fashion System have the opportunity to meet with information and digital creative technology companies.
“Inexmoda is the beacon of the Fashion System, therefore we want all entrepreneurs attending the Trade Show to know what we have done for the industry, what the impact of our projects and our commitment to transformation has been. In Inexmoda we have been working to reach many parts of the country and through the Transformation Route we would like to demonstrate it. Following this same line of transformation, the Business Roundtable of 4.0 Industries seeks to link companies with technology and thus be transformed,” explained Luz Adriana Naranjo, director of Inexmoda Transformation.
This innovative spot, carried out for the first time in the Trade Show, is divided into two key moments: a stand in which virtual reality demonstrates the transformation process of two companies with Inexmoda, and a mobile troop, roaming through different areas of the commercial platform showing attendees that same virtual reality experience. In addition, today at 9:30 am, a tour of various stands of companies that have worked with Inexmoda in different projects was given along with media and several partners of the Institute.
Mercedes Campuzano, Ann Chery, Dianne & Geordi, plus the 45 companies of projects like Épica: Innovation Challenge, Formal Productive Chains, and Business Strengthening for the Fashion System, are some of the companies that comprise the Route and are present at Colombiamoda 2018.
The City of Medellín, with Épica: Innovation Challenge and Formal Productive Chains, and the Government of Antioquia, with Business Strengthening for the Fashion System, are two great allies of Inexmoda that allow selected participating entrepreneurs to have a stand at Colombiamoda.
Business Roundtable of 4.0 Industries
Hand in hand with Procolombia and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies, this year marks the second Business Roundtable of 4.0 Industries, a place designed for Fashion System companies to meet with information technology companies and digital creative industries for discovering specialized services and products for the sector.
In this edition, the 4.0 industry sectors present in this business conference discuss topics such as digital marketing solutions, virtual and augmented reality, management solution and sales outlets, virtual testers of facial and body recognition, interactive catalogs, specialized applications and online sales platforms (e-commerce)–topics relevant to current reality which serve to adapt companies to new changes in the industry and thus be transformed.
As “Open your eyes” is the main concept of the Trade Show, these two spots have been key points where attendees of Colombia’s Fashion Week can witness and connect with what is happening in the industry: challenges in productivity, competitiveness, and a wave of technological advances that have made it necessary to rethink the ways in which various sectors connect with their audiences.
